jnby by JNBY releases new Merino wool collection

Chinese childrenswear brand jnby by JNBY has partnered with The Woolmark Company to release a Woolmark-certified Merino wool collection for Autumn/Winter 2014.

The partnership between these two premium brands has seen the development of an autumn/winter collection for boys and girls, using the finest quality fabrics made from extrafine Australian Merino wool.

The collection, titled Dream Riders, includes extrafine Merino wool sweaters, cardigans, dresses, leggings and accessories, enhancing the natural qualities of the fibre including softness, odour control, breathability, resilience, easy care and elasticity.

To celebrate the arrival of the new collection, jbny by JBNY hosted a VIP event on November 7 in Beijing and a second event in Shanghai, November 15, to promote its latest range and the natural, biodegradable and renewable properties of Australian Merino wool. More than 30 key media representatives attended the launch events, not only discovering the latest collection but also educating themselves and their audience on the wonderful, natural benefits of Merino wool.

Developed in collaboration with The Woolmark Company's Mothers and Babies program, the collaboration spreads the message that Merino wool is the natural choice of clothing for children. Merino wool is naturally breathable, making it an efficient temperature regulator. It is soft and smooth on the skin, keeping children well-protected and comfortable all year round. It works by absorbing moisture vapour next to the skin to help children feel dry and less clammy. When the vapour moves away from the body and evaporates, it maintains a constant, comfortable temperature. In addition, every Merino fibre has a natural protective outer layer that resists dirt and helps prevent stains being absorbed.

The Woolmark Company worked closely with jnby by JNBY to develop this autumn/winter collection, providing technical services to the production team to ensure the highest quality of clothing was produced.

“Australian Merino wool has many natural benefits that make it extremely suitable for childrenswear and accessories,” says The Woolmark Company Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer Rob Langtry. “The Woolmark Company worked closely with jnby by JNBY to develop this Merino wool collection, presenting The Wool Lab and innovations in Merino to JNBY, as well as recommending licensed yarn and fabric suppliers.

Grown on the simple mix of sunshine, grass and water, Australian Merino wool was the natural fibre of choice for jnby by JNBY, allowing the company to uphold both its brand and design concepts. Its brand concepts seeks for a free, natural, true exchange and thinking space; returning to nature. Its design concept calls for pure, natural and interesting.

"We do not want children to experience a life desperately trying to chase their dreams,” explained jnby by JNBY Design Director Ms Yin Xiao Yue. “Rather, we wanted to bring the poetry and fantasy contained in the word dream to children, so that they can grow up more freely, more real and unrestricted.
