The Woolmark Company, which has been developing an international “Mothers and Babies” program as a part of its strategy to expand the versatility of Australia Merino wool, exhibited for the first time at “Playtime Tokyo”, the baby and maternity wear trade show, from February 19th to 21st at the Belle Salle Shibuya Garden, aiming to raise awareness in the domestic industry.

The Woolmark Company’s booth was designed to mainly emphasize the sleep benefits and safety of Australia Merino wool, with displays including brochures that explain the science behind the advantages of Mothers & Babies wear by The Woolmark Company, bibs by Niva, maternity wear by Disk 1 and baby blankets by Sunday Ganim.

“Merino Wool is not just very soft, but it is a very safe material. We believe Merino wool should be supported by nurturing mothers, who are concerned about ‘safety’, as it is a very natural fiber which induces deep sleep,” said Yoshimitsu Hamano, Menswear/Sport/Active Wear and Kidswear Manager, The Woolmark Company Japan.
