In this month's market intelligence edition, we take a closer look at the differing trends developing across wool types produced in Australia. Over the past decade there has been a move towards breeding sheep for more meat production with a corresponding increase in crossbred type wool being grown. While this trend appears to be now easing with data suggesting a greater Merino to Merino joinings, it is important to have as much information on wool values as possible to ascertain the correct costing of potential total value gained from any chosen enterprise.
