Weekly Wool Prices

Week Ending 11 December (Week 24)

11 December 2015

The Australian wool auction sale prices performed strongly and largely to pre sale expectations this week. In general, the Merino sector of all types and descriptions managed to post gains and despite losing a couple of cents, the Crossbred sector held up surprisingly well given the continuation of the high volumes on offer. The Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) gained 4 acents for the week to close at 1251ac/clean kg, a level over 18% higher than the close at Christmas last year.
