Weekly Wool Prices

Week Ending 15 April (Week 42)

15 April 2016

In a total reverse of fortune this week, the Australian Wool auctions surrendered almost all of last weeks strong gains in a largely negative market. It was predominantly the long wool segment that gave up the most ground with the Merino fleece sector retreating by as much as 60ac/clean kg in some instances.  The EMI (Eastern Market Indicator) weakened by 29ac/ clean kg to 1241ac/clean kg , a 2.3% lower level compared to last weeks close.
