Weekly Wool Prices

Week Ending 15 January (Week 29)

15 January 2016

Wool auction sales opened in Australia this week in positive territory for 2016. Favourable exchange rates and fresh sales by exporters were the predominant factors behind the good start to the calendar year and were further buoyed by some large offerings, but of varying types. The Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) bounced around throughout the week and eventually closed 17 cents higher at 1282ac/clean kg.
