Wool auction sales resumed in Australia this week from the winter recess to a very positive tone. The presale sentiment and show floor talk was not at all encouraging, with widespread expectations from the exporters of a flat series; citing the continuing slowing of the Chinese economy, an erratic foreign exchange and a relatively large offering as being dampeners to any significant upward movement.
