Weekly Wool Prices

Week Ending February 14 (Week 33)

14 February 2014

A very tough week at Australian wool auctions, with a significant easing occurring across all wool types on offer. The continued lack of fresh business continues to play on the buyers’ minds, with some of the major exporting participants commenting that the lack of enquiry emanating from China is the quietest they have seen for years. Amongst the gloom though was some good quantities sold into India and other destinations outside of China earlier in the week, albeit at levels considered well under the market at the time.
