Weekly Wool Prices

Week Ending June 28 (Week 52)

28 June 2013

After a period of handy price escalations over the past few weeks, the wool markets in Australia couldn’t maintain the trend and disappointingly finished the 2012/13 selling season on a weak note. Whilst the Superfine-end of the Merino offering was well sought in a very large selection; the fine and medium fleece and skirting types suffered somewhat and lost considerable ground over the course of the week, apart from the broadest end (coarser than 22.0 micron) which remains solid in demand in a rapidly diminishing volume up for sale.
