Another disappointing week for Australian wool sales this week, with heavy price reductions in evidence across the entire Merino sector. A worrying lack of prompt demand exists, with new business very difficult to come by for the Australian exporters. The credit access for Chinese manufacturers continues to be a major roadblock for an improvement in wool market levels, as the major banks and financial institutions in China tighten their borrowings and raise the cash deposit guarantees on credit.
