Weekly Wool Prices

Week Ending October 11 (Week 15)

11 October 2013

The Australian wool auction market movements are easily described this week, and that is, price rises across every type on offer. A relatively small volume of under 40,000 bales was put up for sale, and the competition on all sectors was consistent and strong, underlying the positive demand that our exporters and buyers are reportedly experiencing at present. Significant new buying interest emanating from China, India and Europe is underpinning the buying strength of forward sellers whom have the appetite to cover any outstanding commitments given the volume of enquiry for new business.
