Weekly Wool Prices

Week Ending October 4 (Week 14)

4 October 2013

With the EMI moving just 2acents higher towards 1100acents, you would be forgiven for thinking that not much had occurred during selling at Australian wool markets this week. Whilst the EMI is just an indicator of the average of the market using “a basket” of well over 100 different wool types, the wool market this series displayed some major swings all week long. Of major significance were the results on the final day of selling, whereby a lot of lost ground was recovered from a less than impressive first two days of price level reductions on most types.
