By pushing the boundaries of wool’s natural properties, the pair behind Solidwool created an entirely new construction material. Both practical and environmentally-friendly, the tough, smooth substance is ideal for crafting elegant furniture and homewares. Comprised of coarse fibres sheared from upland sheep breeds, including Herdwick and Scottish Blackface, Solidwool is helping to revive the fortunes of one of England’s traditional wool manufacturing towns.
